About Us

Welcome to Frondeg miners cottage, meaning fair Hillside. The property has been a baker's shop and a Temperance House in the past. Having undergone a complete renovation with care and attention to its period. The cottage offers modern living whilst still being sympathetic to its age and charm. As you enter expect to find an open plan living room with wood burning stove, original stone mantel and limestone floors. The shaker style kitchen with 4 door aga offers a typical cottage kitchen with all the modern amenities. There is a dining nook with lovely new pew and farmhouse table and bench allowing you to sit and enjoy a meal if dining at home. There is a good sized master bedroom with window seat where you can sit and watch the world go by to the front and a twin bedroom to the rear with mountain views. Both offer plenty of storage and the comforts you would expect. A beautiful bathroom with original stone wall and roll top bath await you. Ready for when you want a long soak after a busy day exploring, or if you prefer, a separate shower is available. There is a lovely terrace accessible from the kitchen which allows you the freedom to enjoy some outside space within the mountains.
