Popular walking routes such as the 'Snowdon Horseshoe' are only twenty minutes away, which makes it an ideal spot for those with mountaineering in mind. For those less adventurous, there are many short walks, locally including Beddgelert Forest, Gelert's Grave and the breathtaking Aberglaslyn Pass.
Beddgelert is only eight miles from the beautiful beaches of Borth-y-guest and black rock sands located on the Cambrian coast and also within easy reach of Mount Snowdon and the mountains lakes and rivers making it the perfect centre for a relaxing or active holiday.
We are now privileged to also have the Welsh Highland Railway which starts its scenic journey from Carnarvon stopping at Beddgelert before continuing to Porthmadog also passing through the magnificent scenery of the world famous Aberglasyn Pass.
